Decided to ship out my dash panels for vacuum metalizing and detail painting/lens polishing.

2.5 months later I received some gorgeous pieces back that I thought you’d all enjoy.

very nice. I am in the process of redoing the dash on my 66. could you give me the contact info and if you don't mind me asking how much coin did you have to part with? thanks in advance. Paul

Sure: Contact Robert @ ChromeTech USA

http://www.chrometechusa.com/

I was in touch with no less than 4 companies that are able to vacuum metalize parts (a dying skill set) and while Robert was priced in the same ballpark, his turnaround time was MONTHS shorter. Some companies told me 8+ months.

Cost was roughly $650ish not including the excessive shipping charges by the USPS when I went to mail them out.

Sure thing- bought it from Chuck Beal Racing Team (NHRA Nitro funny car) in San Diego and shipped it to southern NH where I live.

1965 Fury III - 383/2bbl, SureGrip, A/C, Power Steering/Brakes/Door Locks, Sport Fury steering wheel, trailer tow package, etc etc. Build sheet found behind glovebox, MINT behind dash and heavily optioned.

Received it as winter began and have just been doing what I can to prepare for spring and a deeper restoration. Door panels are with SMS for reproduction, spent months scouring suppliers to acquire NOS power tailgate window components, yada yada.

very nice project. mine is a 66 fury III wagon. if you have some time to kill go to members restorations and go to 66 fury 4 speed wagon disc brakes and stuff. I think you will enjoy the thread. good luck on the restoration.

Excellent, will do. I’m still trying to familiarize myself with all the sub-categories on this message board.

Please tell me you’ve got a source on rear wagon quarter window gaskets... I don’t understand why it’s the only gasket not reproduced by any of the suppliers and when I’ve contacted them they literally end up blowing me off or saying they aren’t interested.

a bunch of guys are looking for them. I recently bought some material at a swap meet and is probably as close to original as possible.it is sold by the foot. when I duplicate mine and works then I will share. don't want to excite anyone yet. lol . some one on this forum started a thread on these gaskets.

That would be incredible. You can see in the pic of my wagon on the shipping truck that the only rust is in the drivers rear lower outer... it’s 100% from the cracked/heavily leaky quarter window gaskets.

I can be pretty determined when it comes to figuring out solutions but this one has me stumped due to vendor behavior. There are so many wagons that need the same seals (Fury, T&C, Monaco) and they aren’t even complicated ‘bead locking’ gaskets.

Here’s the same wheel well area from the inside to show what I mean

Nice looking wagon! It looks to be in great shape with a bonus 383 and A/C. Not sure what condition your tail gate molding is in but I have a nice one for a Fury III wagon. PM me for some pics if interested.

Thank you! PM sent (I think I did it right...). It wouldn’t let me attach a pic in the Conversation so here’s how the tailgate looks currently:

I still haven’t cleaned it from the cross country shipment.

Hello nice wagon. Where about a in NH are you. I have a 1966 wagon and live in Tuftonboro (up by lake Winni). I'm having troubles trying to track down a window motor for my wagons tailgate window. Did you find a NOS one or a newer style that worked out. Thanks mike

Hi, yeah I started a private chat with you a while back and you stopped responding. You bought this ‘66 that I looked at originally but the sellers didn’t want to negotiate.

I have a used motor assembly, motor regulator and window regulator that I sourced from different locations and it cost me a small fortune. I do know of 1 other motor and it’s NOS but expect them to charge you $400+ for it. Crazy stuff.

The later year motors are plentiful and around $150-$250 but their mounting screws are wider and won’t fit the motor regulator.

Do you have any pics of the wiring in the tailgate (including the limit switch location)? I’ve got the parts but the service manual doesn’t show anything.

Oh ya sorry about that I'm sort of an on again off again user. I have the motor out of the car but the car is in storage. And wow it looks way better with the stick wheels on her. And the bench put back in. I can send a picture of the motor I. A bit when I get home.

No biggie, just wanted to make sure you knew I was the same person.

There are really just 3 things I’m struggling with where pictures can help:

1) measurement/location of the window switch under the dash on an A/C wagon. It should be to the right of the steering column but where exactly?

2) switch wiring behind the dash. I have a factory switch harness but it’s only around a foot long and my main underdash harness doesn’t appear to have an open connector for it. Maybe MOPAR didn’t add the lines to the harness?

3) wiring inside the tailgate. Where does the limit switch reside? How does the motor wiring intersect with the limit switch wiring and then with the main harness feed?

Here are the only photo examples I have showing that AC cars had the switch on the right:

Here is what the motor assembly looks like:

I can take pictures with measurements for you. It may take a day or two for me to get to the car. But I can get them. I even have the tailgate panel off so I can get a good picture in there of the limit switch.

That would be a tremendous help!

I’ll search for the older email where I found the NOS motor so you can try reaching out about it.
