That was John Prine, probably his most note worthy songs were: "There is a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes". "And your flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore".

There are only two sustained rock artists on that list. Def Leppard and Stevie Nicks.
They need to rethink rock hall of fame......

Both midline artists.

I like Stevie solo but her claim to fame is in a group, not solo.
DL was not innovative nor particularly influential. Benefited from great producers on three albums. From new English metal to pop glam. Really like them. Not HOF worthy.
 
I think all "Hall of Fames" are compromising their standards. Harold Baines in the Baseball HOF? Really? Some years they should just say "sorry nobody worthy this year.
 
I would agree that many on that list have nothing to do with "rock".

Then again, LL Cool J, Chaka Khan and the MC5 are only the ones I would listen to.
 
Easy ... the only one from my list that MAY be inducted is Stevie.
  • Kraftwerk (why even mention DEVO when you have Kraftwerk?)
  • MC5 (It's the damned MC5. Find an equal.)
  • Roxy Music (I specify Eno era only. Brian Ferry rubbed me the wrong way after that)
  • Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
  • Stevie Nicks

Agree. Once you induct the obvious members to any HOF, then you have to perpetuate the hall every year regardless of who you have to pick from.

This years nominees reinforce that point.

Elvis, Buddy Holly, Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Cream, The Doors, Aerosmith, KISS and Devo. What’s wrong with this picture?
