66 Polara w/ 318 Stromberg WW 3-259, fresh rebuild on the carb. Starts and idles great, when I give it gas revs up smooth and powerful. When I let off motor stumbles and shakes for about 5-10 seconds then dies.
Is this a rich condition? I figured I'd lean each side a quarter turn to see if that does any thing.
Also, the throttle linkage is supposed to have 2 springs connecting to the bracket at the front left of the motor, I only have one (the one adding tension to the throttle plate). not sure what the other is called as I don't have the FSM on me right now, anyone know what that is? could that be my issue?
I've only owned this car a few weeks and it wasn't running when I got it.
