Strapping a 66 Polara to a Trailer?

This is true in transport. Wood blocks have many additional uses on a job like this. They can prevent the vehicle from obtaining to much speed loading or unloading on a grade. Or to keep it in place while re rigging the winch cable. I don't go anywhere with out wood blocks..... :stop:

Or if the fender of the trailer is too high to let the door open, put the blocks under the tires to exit the vehicle.
Or if you bring your pet beaver and he wants a snack.

A winch is not designed to handle shock loads. Example, you put tension on a piece of tied off twine, it will start cutting into your hand before it would break. Put a little slack in it and give it a good snatch and it pops. That's what could happen to the gearbox on the winch with car bouncing.

Don't listen to any of these guys, strap it down 'Trucker Style' for peace of mind!
