Hot Rod has the Power Tour. I am single handedly starting The Comfort Tour©. We left the Detroit area on Monday morning taking the northern route through Canada:canada: and across upstate NY arriving at our destination in Red Hook after a 99.9% trouble free 600 mile drive that took about 10.5 hours. I said 99.9% because the car had two hiccups as I pulled onto the highway from the first toll booth in NY, it felt like a flutter in the ignition but it hasn't done it again so...
There were no great photo opps that made us want to stop en route so here we are at the house.

Matt! I was hoping you would file a trip report for this "adventure." Didn't anyone stop you and tell you what a great Lincoln yer driving ?!?

Hope you're having a great time! Are you going back the southern route across 86/17? Much better scenery than I-90, in my opinion anyway.
Keep us posted! House you helped out on looks great. Gotta get some more pics of the inside and your handy work on the project.

Wednesday morning we set out for Caimbridge Mass to attend Jeannie's daughter in law's commencement ceremony from Harvard Law. We were lucky enough to rent a room(Airb&b) at this house with a decent place to park the car for a couple of days while we Ubered back and forth to the ceremonies including a nice speech by main guest speaker Stephen Spielberg. I wouldn't want to drive ANY car around the Boston/Caimbridge area let alone my Imp.. We head back to NY tomorrow and I will start taking more pics.

Ever seen the inside of the law library at Harvard?? Here's one area of the main room, made me groggy just looking at all the law related books, beautiful place though...

The architecture on all the streets around Harvard Square is just incredible.
Used to go there on warm nights just to walk around for hours. It's drop dead gorgeous when the trees are in full bloom.

It is a beautiful place, we were here in January for her son's wedding but there were no leaves on the trees. We're looking forward to seeing more than just the campus so we're going to spend half a day here before heading back.
I have been to Boston a few times back when I used to set up auto show exhibits but again, always in the winter.

matt.. lots of things to see in the greater boston area. half day wont be enough, BUT, if its not too late, and if you had an hour, from "Hahvahd Yahd" you're a 10-15 minute "Red Line" ride away, or 4-5 miles in the CC (but you cant park in front of it), from the Bull & Finch - the "Cheers" bar.

Have fun. safe travels!

No one knew my name last time I went there. lol. It sure looks different inside than on tv.

This is The Old North Church. This is where the famous "One if by land, two if by sea" signal is said to have been sent although the steeple was toppled and reconstructed at least once. Very kool and old nonetheless. And because I know at least one of you will ask, I do not know anybody in this picture nor was I focusing on anything but the church.

Tourist.... :poke:

:p

Actually, in a perfect world, you would have spent at least a week in the Boston area and I would have been your guide.

Maybe you can show me the true and beautiful side of Detroit some day.
