Ah, so /6 POLARAS were not available in the U.S.?

I'd guess that they were, just very rare.

When we were discussing the Mexican market Coronet in another thread, it looked like many of the references just talk about the US market, and don't address foreign markets at all, unless specifically called out as such.

But, as I've said, my knowledge is not very deep, and wouldn't mind hearing more detail from people who have been looking into this for years.
 
I think the 1970 Newport Cordoba reviewed in another thread is up there in rarity. Besides having survived in "Joisey", Galen Govier had only seen one other in a junk yard....
