We have our weekly Cruisin every Monday evening at a local mall. We average about 250 - 330 cars every Monday. Last night this beauty showed up. Couldn't find the owner to open the hood and there was no dash info card.

Vehicles just don't get any more beautiful and elegant than the 1960 Imperials and they were a great way to end that era before the 1961 Lincoln Continentals started a new more formal trend toward design......................

The 1961 Lincoln Continental was Elwood Engle's design team creation and he moved to Chrysler in 1961 and also led the way with Chrysler's slab side designs and evolved into the fuselage era before he retired in 1973.

It is remarkable to me that with Virgil Exner who headed the Forward Look era and Elwood Engle that Chrysler ended up with two of the best designers ever in my view.

Agreed, Exner and Engel were both the right guy at the right time, and Chrysler was indeed very fortunate on both.
