I like the black side out on the pictures of the car you show. Raised white letters were used later on. I like the look of redlines too. Whitewalls were on your dad's car back then.

I go with white walls out on my New Yorker.
Raised white letters out of my Magnum and Rallye wheels.
Black wall out on my Cragars or dog dish steelies.
