Hello again. Refresher on vacuum advance? My car runs stronger with it disconnected, but I don’t want to hurt anything.

It's NOT specifically about it "running strong", it's about how much part-throttle fuel economy it gets than if it was not there. No vac advance with intake manifold vac levels below about 8" Hg.

I shouldn’t have said stronger. The engine responds quicker & really likes to reach rpm faster. At the cost of I don’t know what.

Vacuum advance should have no negative effect on performance, only there to aid in economy and efficiency at part throttle cruise.
Sounds like yours is connected to manifold vacuum which will alter idle rpm and just cause stable setting issue around idle and just off idle. This is why it is connected to ported spark advance on a Chrysler product.
