Well I've used a couple of the Mopar VIN sights to decode the fury and never noticed anything off, until I looked at the FSM. According to the FSM there was no "F"engine code for a 67 fury. According to my car and the web sights it's a 318. The book says "E" is the 318. Anybody know what the deal is with this?

There's some miss printed information there. The lo po 440 in 67 is a K code vin, the high performance 440 in 67 is the L code vin. The lo po 383 in 67 is a G code. The high performance 383 in 67 is an H code vin.

I found registration in the car dating to 71 in Yuma county AZ. As far as the book being from canadia, not sure. I haven't seen the word "aye" in it anywhere.

That is a 66 book, and the model yr=7 is a misprint. In 66' a 318 was an E, a poly head engine. and 361 was an F, and the 361 disappeared in 67'.
Per the 1966 Blue Chrysler service Book:
D=273
E=318
F=361
G=383
J=440
K=special order.

when the book was made, the 66' engine specs were printed. I have a factory service manual for my 1966 Polara, and it shows the 318 as D, and F for 383. Both are wrong. The book is 50 years old. The Blue factory books are the most accurate.:sFl_america2:

I just noticed the listing in it for the 66 models. Hopefully the driveshaft lengths are correct. I had the machine shop shorten it to the 440/727 specs per the book!

I assume you are working on a 67 Fury? If you got the specs from the book you should have no problem, the mistakes were mostly in the VIN data, not the mechanicial end.
