Went to a traffic jam and an air show broke out...

Decided to participate in the Wings Over Camarillo air show. 75 degrees, warbirds, car show and aebleskivers what’s not to like.

This seemed promising but it turned out to be a harbinger of things to come...

we got there at the prescribed time and let the games begin...

Traffic was so bad we got thrown into a purgatory lot until things (never happened) got sorted out.

Best quote of the show was after we were released from the pre show lot I let all the antiques out first.

My wife “ we were first in why we are we waiting for all them to leave???”

Me “ they’re old let’s give em a break”

My wife “ isn’t your car like 50??? ”

Classic.

We followed the coolant trail to our parking spot. Only the dumb ones (me) who prepaid actually paid to get in. Staff gave up collecting money and just let the overheating classics pile in. Crazy.

Lots of cool stuff to see. We had some of the best seats in the house & didn’t walk a mile to get in !

CAF Museum displays were great as always.

This Jug is undergoing full restoration after a hard landing mishap. They’re making good progress!!!

The show kicked off a little late but nobody seemed to mind by the cheering. Not one idiot was observed kneeing during the anthem.

Both amusing and frustrating to be standing behind the giant camera wielding patriots Lol !!!

Funny story with the smoke ring.

The car show was so messed up they canceled take a pic w a warbird , the classic car parade and then said we told you that you could leave when you’d like but you can’t leave until the spectators are gone... well that didn’t fly (pun intended sorry) with us cause we had Mexican food to eat and the wife wanted to hit the outlets.

By ones & twos cars fired up and headed out. I was specifically told not to leave but figured this ain’t what I paid for. We fired up and protected by State Farm glided thru the crowds all the while being yelled at by that certain angry parking elf. My wife said did you get a pic of that plane flying thru that smoke ring ??? Uhhh no.

Turned out to be a good day all aggravations aside. El Tecolote was great and our table had a perfect view.
I should’ve known that wrong priced gas was a trap.

Those are different than the ones I've had. The ones I had were hollow in the center and you stuffed the goodies inside them.

Only type I’ve ever had. Usually have to go all the way up to Solvang to get them so this was an unexpected treat.
