Some people will dedicate their lives to ending hunger, or making the woods a safe-space for transgender spotted owls.

Me? I'd like to fix apostrophe usage among old car enthusiasts who must often indicate a year when referring to a vehicle.

When abbreviating a specific year, replace the first two digits with an apostrophe:
    • “I drive a '68 Chrysler New Yorker.” (Abbreviation of 1968)
An apostrophe after a numeral is often interpreted as a footage measurement.

    • A 68' Chrysler would not fit in the average garage.
    That is all.

Indeed. I will take up the mantle of the comma then...

I'd be happy to just not see any more of "needs restored" or "runs awesome".........I'm amazed how often it shows up, it's one thing for the average/earnest Joe trying to find a new home for a beater on Craigslist......., but on high dollar dealer sites as well......... Guess it's the (bad) grammar equivalent of a photo with the garden hose in plain sight........

I'm on the fence regarding a visit to the big mouse in October. Actually I'm not... but the inlaws have a time-share in Kissimmee. Last time I went to junkyards while everybody else did some kind of Disney supermall.

And, unless you were looking for year 2000+ parts, you came back that evening disappointed.

l suppose it’s grammatically correct but my go to favorite is “totally original with new interior and paint “.

Actually, comma neglect is far bigger problem and contributes immensely to the decline of civilization.

My kids constantly write "10$" instead of "$10". They argue with me, "it's TEN DOLLARS, not DOLLARS TEN!" I can't really argue with that logic, and now I wonder why we write it the way we do. As for the 68 foot Chrysler, they did make boats at some point....

I'd put the staggering and widespread misuse of the word "Literally" up there as well.

Another one my wife has brought to my attention is spell check changing the word definitely to defiantly.

Picture: "That car is DEFIANTLY not green."
(angry car aggressively paints itself ANY OTHER COLOR than green.)
