On Saturday my friend and I went to look at some parts a guy had he wants to get rid off...

Among them were a 440 and another engine....

I won't say what we paid, but I would easily say it's the type of find that no one would ever believe as I don't even believe it...

Wow... Just wow....

There should be a VIN stamped on that engine that takes the funny valve covers. It might be worth doing a little searching to find if that car is out there and its owner would like it.

Hemi cam and lifter sets x2
Unfinished Mopar performance aluminum 426 Hemi head..A body 8.75...

I nearly had to buy a defibrillator when he opened the barn doors for us...

He wanted to sell it or he would scrap it...

That block with the extra head bolt bosses in the lifter valley, how'd he come by that one? Just curious.

So that explains the rough cast heads, designed for "custom machining by the engine builder". Any infor on the cams for that engine?

I wanna see that A-body. PLEASE lol

The casting date is too late for a LO23 Dart or a BO29 Barracuda. The casting number was used across the line, 66-71, and the casting date is for a 69 car, so you can assume it's either out of a B-Body or a replacement block. It will have a VIN if it's out of a car.

If that is a HEMI torque converter that I see in the photo, I would be interested in purchasing it as a core to rebuild. LMK.

This is the type of find that keeps you in the car hobby because it’s exhilarating and you’ll want to repeat that feeling. Not only that it should result in a net profit that should easily allow you to finish 1 or both of your keepers.
