who makes a good set of headers for a '71 newport 383?????????

Why do you want headers on a 1971 Chrysler with a 383?
Have to ask the logical question first.

looking for a set of headers that will fit a 1971 newport with a 383. any help would be appreciated

Ma Mopar herself made 'em. Good old cast iron high-perf manifolds. They flow as much as any stock or lightly modded motor will ever need, better with heat, no weird fitment issues.

I had Hookers on my 400 that was in my 71 Polara 4 door years ago. Looked great, sounded good, then the car bottomed out several times, crushed the tubes, damaged the collectors and the gaskets always needed to be replaced. The heat burnt up the starter so I always had to change the starter. To do that I had to raise the left side of the engine. I was always burning up spark plug wires too.....

Many of these things can be overcome these days, either by technology or by experience. HP manifolds are the answer. If you need headers TTI is the way to go.
