yes.
I saw the car also back in 1998. At that time it was in better shape. It was left outside after that

By 1998 everyone knew what it was and it still sat outside? Un - Efin- beliveable

it was freshly repainted back in 1998. Nice interieur, nice paint, solid body. Nice driver condition #3 which needed minor mechanics as it was itting for a while. Guy wanted 20k$ back then for it which nearly as unreasonable as the 75k 2011.

He sold it later on to his father. His father kept in a garage for a while but then it got pulled out and sat outside for a while and weathered. Wasn't in running condition in 2011. Interieur was shot. Had several places with rust and dents.

Hard to believe, I know

20 thousand for a C body in 1998 is outrageous. 75 Thousand for a C body in 2011 is even more outrageous. The car is not worth 7 grand the way you make it sound, throw up more photos...........

I haven't saved the pics from the auction.
That was "superB"

I assumed you saved everything also.............

any word on that blue Polara convertible arriving soon from Michigan?

no, I didn't. Maybe Stan did it as he was interestet in it, too

blue Polara Cv doesn't ring a bell for me

I didn't know that. But I am living in germany.
If you want to know more about it you should contact "SuperB" probably

Thats why I said "Thats why, its going to Finland". Once you said it, I looked up the photo and saw where it was headed........

I have trouble remembering how to get home myself let alone remembering where you guys live.

The remaining GT's are so junkie a/o overpriced, I feel it makes way more sense to clone one. Screw the VIN...

I know but I can't.
I am a number nerd. No clones for me. I can't even stay a colour change

I have to bump up my old search.

I would like to find a B5 or B7 blue 1970 SFGT.
Rolling shell with rust to restored to nice condition works fine for me

Other outside colours than blue could be ok but then SFGT needs to have
-#matching engine
-only have little rust (like little rust in California, not Ohio "little rust")
-AC

Carsten

Why does it "need" ac?
Oh never mind, it must be that no power vents were available.:poke:

Hi Matt,

what I want for myself is a blue SFGT.
I do have a red one without AC (which is great for me).

The lower part of the search has a different reason:
There is a close friend who owns the (despite AC) perfect 1970 SFGT for my taste.
I would like to buy it.
But to let his one go means I have to find a SFGT which meets his search criteria. (only little rust, must have AC and matching engine).

Carsten

That explains it Carsten. I didn't have you pegged for a "must have ac" type of guy.

I am fine Stan.

My friend doesn't want to sell his blue SFGT as he likes it a lot himself.
I am happy that he does give me the chance of hope in finding another one which might meet his criteria.
