Your opinions on who make good replacement carpets for our C bodys?

A very old video about the first gen M110 from the 1960's....you can see the drastic improvements on the previous picture of M110A2 that I had. This video kind of gives you an idea how it works. Note the 13 man crew and eventually we increased to 3 Battery's of 8 guns for a Battalion strength of 24 guns.

Each time you post that pic I ask myself: Why does that thing have a snow plow?

It has a hell of a recoil when you shooting Charge 7 or Zone 8 white bag. I'm sure you seen the part of the video that they are "digging in" the spade.

The spade and the hydraulic lockout system creates a stable firing platform.

Ya Man!!!!

The gunner **** thread is outstanding.....

You should join the forum. Lots of defense experts, historians, military people from private on up to general from throughout the world. I'm in Naval Warfare where we have those who manned the ships, built the ships, drew plans for the ships and also now maintain the historic fleet of ships. There is a place to introduce oneself on the main page as they are very particular about that and then the rules of engagement on how to behave and not cross the global moderator's lines. Basically no name calling, no snarky comments and pretty much stick to the facts with the evidence to back your position. They love guys with hands on experience be it jet fighters, warships or big guns.

BTW, the torsion bars work on the same principle as the Chrysler torsion bars except they go from side to side instead of front to back. Each roadwheel has it's own torsion bar.
