I think just about the coolest thing I saw there was the 1955 Imperial Body on the 2006 Magnum chassis. So impressive!! There was also a 1955 300 on a 2017 Hellcat chassis done by the same crew. Blew my mind!
Also the green Dodge Charger Daytona in the building was very cool. Someone had a tricked out Neon with a clear coolant line and clear timing belt cover. I'm not really into that kind of thing but that car was really impressive and
looked great. The father and son that did the engine swaps in the Miradas--30 years ago putting a Dakota V6 in my Mirada was a dream. Cool to see it in reality. Talking to people who are so proud and excited about their cars, sharing stories, priceless!
OH, and seeing a 1969 Imperial parked along Hanover street at dusk. Looked even MORE impressive against the backdrop of the modern world than it did on the show grounds. Almost made me think a movie star had just arrived!

I talked to the guy who had that 55 imperial. He said it's soo nice to drive. I usually ain't big on that type of custom stuff but I really liked that car as well. I had alot of fun which is what's important. The parts swap area felt kinda thin to me. More like a flea market. But I did get some goodies. I am honestly, I little depressed now that it's over and I have another year to wait. But life goes on. It's just a car show lol.

Thin ??? Flea Market ???

You weren't at my stand --- H 107 - H 108, with 100.00 % GLORIOUS & MOPAR
PARTS --- 500,000 people were at my Awesome Spread....

Many, Many dug in with a big fork and steak knife.....

Sorry I over looked you, your royal highness. But as a overall scope. I felt it just wasn't as packed as years past.

Everyone on this planet needs to go to Chrysler's at Carlisle at least once in their lifetime. I guarantee that you will be back year after year.

Don't wait until you are an old man to go.... the younger you are the easier it is to hike the 82 acres. I know...some people swear it's 90 something acres. Maybe it is but I read it somewhere that it was 82 acres.

That 55 / 300 was STUNNING!! I’d say easily a 6 figure build.

I was going to stop, but you had a line when I went by.

There were areas of the swap that was just parked cars. Seemed a little odd. I did see somethings that I hadn't seen previously.

One of the busiest Chryslers @ Carlisle ever ---
I had an 8 hour long line on Friday, and a 6 hour long line on Saturday---- no matter how hard I worked // and multi tasked, with more coming in,
I could not make that line of people disappear!!!

I am not complaining, mind you, but working 34,000 hours in a week I S a lot,
And I am busy processing 26 orders presently....

But it is worth stopping by my stand, because I had / have unearthed some true
G O L D, in addition to my regular array of Quality N.O.S., etc., etc....

Wish you had stopped by.... yours, Craig......

Congrats @mobileparts - it sure beats the alternative of struggling to find business, that's for sure. Additionally, whether or not it's true I don't know, but having that much business really makes me feel good about the present/near future of our addictive passion/hobby.

It is my goal to make it one year. Just need to make sure my 64 is reliable enough to make it from the Toronto area

How do you squeeze in time to watch the White Sox lose?

Metal Maniac AZ / Craig ,
We are finally healthy -- and then we lost Luis Robert, again....but going into the All Star Break, we won 3 of 4 against Minnesota--- so we are only 3 Games Back, 2 in the Loss Column.....
It has been frustrating, but I think we are still going to run away with our division these last 70 games....

Boydsdodge,
I was in the same spot that I have been for 29 years --- at H107 - H108......
If you had picked up the F R E E Carlisle Book that they hand you upon entrance, you would have seen my seventeen (17) ads --- more than anyone / any outfit ---
--- that I pay for --- and people came to me with the book open all show long.....

Sad to say, you sure didn't get your money's worth, if you didn't see the entire swap meet area, and / or walked the aisles crooked, and missed half of it....
You will need to plan better next time you come........

Plenty of time to see me --- I rolled in at 4:22 A.M. Wednesday morning, I left at
4 : 00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, and was open from 7 : 00 A.M. through 7 : 00 P.M.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday 8 : 30 A.M. to 2 : 00 P.M., while packing up......

I was there before almost everyone..... I left after almost everyone......
