Hi all - I thought this group would appreciate my new old truck.

It's a 1961 Dodge W300. It has a 318 Poly and is 4WD.

I blame this forum for getting me interested in old Mopars.

The ultimate Home Depot hauler!! I absolutely love it.
That can eat up two pallets of bagged red cedar mulch with no problem.
Was that originally a dualie?

I don't think this one was a dualie - but no real way to tell. They were an option for sure.

I was told this one was originally a military vehicle, then sold to a fire department, then to a fireman, then to the previous owner who had it for a couple years - and now to me.

It is big&tall! Bigger than I expected in fact.

I like it plus its really rare being 4WD. Maybe you would consider a rust free box if one comes at the right price. There is a '69 International 4WD p-up w/30k original miles on Green Bay WI. Craigs last week for only $3000. That truck also sparked my interest.

Great looking truck, congrats!

I bet it could haul an engine block, or two, or three...couple 440 blocks, 383s..throw in a HEMI for good measure.
