Rocker arms

Good day, so as I'm rebuilding my 318 la I see that the rocker arms are worn, so to replace what's the best way to go stamped rockers from Rockauto or are there better available, engine is mildly upgraded in performance.
Please be specific as to what type and reasons as I understand that the aluminium ones aren't too great.

It might be nice to upgrade to roller-tip rocker arms, but finding a good and reliable brand can be problematic as there are good ones and off-shore "not good" ones for the same money. Otherwise, keep it simple and stock replacement type rockers.

DO put some moly paste cam lube on the rocker shaft contract areas and the tips where they touch the valves. Prior to initial start-up. For good measure.

Yip that's the problem in trying to decide whom manufacture good quality equipment....I would like roller tips as I believe it helps power development but have heard many conflicting reports.
Further been in South Africa we very limited to updated information in particular on Mopars, whereas in America the market is vast.
This particular Fury was built in Canada and the push rods are the ones with a bottle neck type on the lifter side and a ball on the rocker arm side, now I'm trying to source them in a high performance application.
Any suggestions and assistance will be appreciated.
 
Is the bearing surface galled or worn? I've seen a lot of folks say their stamped rocker arms are worn and they really aren't.

Hard to tell how much wear on the pic of the pocket the pushrod goes into, but this picture is showing a normal stamped rocker arm. When new, the hole in the rocker arm is very loose fit around the shaft, at least 1/8".

I've seen shafts like that re-used. You could polish a lot of that out.

I have thought about that but obviously will need to mic them at those points first and see if polishing would benefit them in the long run.....
 
Some time ago there was a debate as to the accuracy of the stamped steel rockerrs. Given they were a stamping and mass produced there was a degree of error in the rocker arm ratio. IE the manufacturing tolerance in a stamping could give you an over or under percentage of what the ratio should be.
If you are rebuilding a good relibale engine then this is not of paramount importance whereas reliblity and longlevity are the main aim. To improve on this we used to use the 273 solid rocker arms to give us a tighter tolerance and stay true to 1 / 1.5 ratio. These are still manufacured by aftemarket companies. They are the same as th Poly 318 engine from 1957 through to 1966

hard chromed shafts bushed mech rockers quality stuff
I'd use hollow pushrods and Magnum lifters to oil rocker tips thru the pushrods to eliminate the gauling at that point
best to have the cups inthe rockers and ball and ball end pushrods
longer rockers to minimise angles and prevent pushrod cup rocker interference
