Who is going to the Carlisle Show? I was wondering if the people attending would like to have a plan for communication like sharing cell phone numbers. Last year I was walking around trying to catch up with Dave and never did. I could of walked past him a hundred times and never knew it. I think it would be a bummer if we shared opinions, comments and humor all year on this forum and missed each other at the big show.

I agree and I'll be there! I guess the best way would be to start sending pm's with contact info. I'll start! PM sent.

Just look for me..............or the car I'll be in Carlisle from Wednesday night to Sunday afternoon.

Dave, I'll have to look for the car...don't know what you look like.

Like I told Stan before some things are better off left alone...dont want to open myself up to the wrath of this board

I'll be there as a spectator. Thinking all three days, but who knows, depends on how well I can walk after the first day. Will be there for sure on Friday.

I'll also make the last offer and deliver to Carlisle before I send them to the scrapper; I've got a set of high performance manifolds off the 67 I'll give to someone, they need the typical cracks repaired.

I plan on being there Friday and Saturday and hoping my neck/back hold up. Ultrasound treatments does wonders.

What happened to Sunday?

I never understood why the "older" people as I went through my life would say I cant do that anymore or thats too much this and too many that. As I rapidly get closer to my golden years I now know why and understand what they meant, and I am only 45.

Thanks 1978 NYB, got it. I'll be there Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning.
Where do you all lodge?

I'm a little closer to the golden years...57. The 20 years that I served in Armored Calvary Regiments and Self Propelled Heavy Artillery Brigades is catching up with me physically. I just know by Sunday that I'll be lucky to be able to walk.

Great, got it. I'll let you know mine when I find out for sure, one of the other guys takes care of those arrangements. I remember from last year that there was an elevator and it was right near a highway exit. Not sure if we are staying or trying somewhere else but the reservations were made quite some time ago.

What is that a picture of??

That is a M110A2 Self Propelled Howitzer (8 inch). Bore size is 203mm. That picture was a night shot and you saw the fireball it creates when it fires. Most accurate artillery piece in the world. It can put a 205 lb projecticle inside a garbage can at 20 kilometers every shot. The complete bullet comprises of a 205 lb projectile and 77 lbs of gunpowder and a 5 lb fuse and a primer the the size of a 12 guage shotgun shell. It is also nuclear capable. When Reagan told Gorbachev that "the U.S. would use tactical battlefield nukes in Europe", he was specifically talking about this Howitzer.
