Wondering about the value of this purple 71 sport fury

That one sold for 8k just last month??? hmm maybe I should buy this...

C8 is Mood Indigo, Not In-Violet (Plum-Crazy)

Ok, since you are new here, I'll buy you a clue. If you purchase this to then list it here to sell, be aware that no one here will give you the time of day above $2500, if that much. You will be branded a troll and a flipper and be subject to much ridicule. Other than that, Welcome.
:welcome:

I appreciate the heads up, I posted that it was C8 Mood indigo, which seems to be a one year color. judging by the one car sale it shows that it is worth more than $2500, of course that is one car deal...but to have it be almost the exact same car and selling just a month and a half ago. I would hate to be labeled a troll. I am active on for A bodies and for B bodies, I have just never owned a C body. heck I have even been on for pickups only, used to have a red express, I also have been a member of this for two years... haha just never posted :/

Ah, yes, 8 posts in over 2 years, my bad, thought you were new to the site. You should know then, that C7 In-Violet would be a very exciting high impact color for A, B and E bodies, but wrong on a 4 door C body. Seriously, don't expect a high dollar return on this. If you can score it for a grand, then expect to make $1500 tops, but also expect to put some cash into it to get that much. Buy it because it it a cool C body in a one year color. Might be a survivor. Bring it to Carlisle in July and be the envy of the old men on the board here.

Well, this a C-body forum with members that can arguably be described as the best and the brightest when it comes to C-bodies. There's nothing about C-bodies that someone here isn't already thoroughly well versed on.
25 hundread dollars with a lot of caveats.
We've been through this a dozen times before with newbies.
25 hundred...

any guess as to what happened on the ebay auction? crazy buyers? I mean who knows if it even actually sold? still crazy, I can understand if I was just a noob making a number up, but the fact that one just sold for that price is promising. I have not done much on this page at all...I am "new" no denying that

Two bidders with very low feedback pushed the price up above 5,500, that there is suspicious. Over a month and no feedback, this may have been a no-sale, we don't know.

That's a neat find, I like it. You mention original paint....is it rust free as well? Not the best pics but it looks like it would benefit from a good polish and detail. I would cruise around in that for sure.

How did you come across it?

Dave

they say original I am going to look at it again and really check for any strange oversprays, or something, I bought a 71 duster "original paint" there was green paint on trim, bumpers, bondo, it was awful hahah that was sight unseen. yep needs polish and detail for sure.... the seats even have dark purple inserts, and they sure seem factory...

Wow, I'm surprise you guys get any repeat posters after that spanking-machine welcome...

I believe the eBay ad mentions the car being repainted, or some other form of half-*** cosmetic resto. That explains the dirty engine/firewall and clean fenders.

The real value is something more than $2500 (assuming a no rust condition; I'd happily pay at least 3500) and something well under $8k. I wish it were proportional to ABE money, but that's life in the wide lane...

haha yeah it was a bit rough, but I am sure they hate when someone gets on here just to sell something, is there a chance I would sell this car perhaps, but I don't know it seems like an awesome cruiser! I think this one is worth more than 2500, but I don't know about 8k. I am a die hard mopar fan, I have owned dusters, roadrunners, charger, satellite, a dodge dart hang ten (that was awesome) thanks for the words Carmine

The ebay one has black fenders and firewall, the one that I had pictures of, is supposedly not a repaint and has the filthy firewall and fenders... I am trying to make sure it is original

Yeah, sorry for the hard knock, but I did give you a welcome smiley. You've gotten some decent valuation advise, what are they asking for it? Is there room to negotiate? $2500-$3500 is reasonable, what's it worth to you?
