FCBO's Favorite Game Show, "¿WHAT DID I BUY?"

MSW-Medium-S is not a '69 code so I can't say what configuration the seats are but they are leather-white/black.

It is, in fact, a '69 code. Here is the Page out of my dealer album!

Remember a few weeks ago when I was asking about storage for a car I wanted to get? Also part of the reason for my ongoing purge of cars... Well I gave the guy a chunk of the cash and he is holding on to it... Not something I'd usually do, but maybe you decoders would like to work your magic on this plate and figure out WHY I would make an exception for this car?

This machine has also been sitting in a garage for many years. Total mileage is 38,000.

Congratulations, sounds like a nice car! Looking forward to see more pictures :)

It's the "S" that I was referring to. In my book it shows the "S" wasn't used until '70. This is the code for wether it was front buckets or bench, etc..

That's exactly what is axplained on the bottom of the dealer book page. You mean that, right? Seems to be present in '69 already.

Oh, wait. It's descriped as weather its a 2-door interior or a 4-door interior.

That's a neat car. I too can't wait to see some pics, especially of the interior.

Congratulations!

Someone really had confidence in that one fender tag screw with the two ground wires attached to it lol

Best of luck with the new ride!

Was this car on Craigslist?

Was this car on Craigslist?

T'was... once with no pics, just as an "Imperial" which while admirable, did little to gather eyeballs. Later he put up some terrible photos showing the top of the rear seat and the glove box door.

I saw it and got him to send me a bunch of pics via text which I replied with a simple question that went unanswered. I'm glad you got it and I hope for far less than what was being asked.

Yes, quite a bit less than that crazy asking price (I saw both 5 and 7k). I really think (hope) this a diamond in the rough kinda car. It has an awful repaint of black over a substrate that appears to have been used to demonstrate how not to use a DA sander. The tires were so dry-rotted they blew out while sitting. Then add yards of crooked stick-on molding and stripe tape, and you'll see the other reason I haven't been popping off glamor shots!

However, I do believe the mileage claim is original, and I don't think it's ever seen salt. The guy was certainly a "character", not a bad dude, but a character. My showing up in the nice '70 Fury tipped the scales in favor of my lower offer because he seemed to believe I wasn't buying it for derby. You wouldn't believe how many times that has made a difference for me!

So based on the lights, have we established that you are now the proud owner of a '70 Imperial?

Yes a 69. I was think that was a 70 had the shark gils, I cheated and checked this time.
