At 48 years old thats unlikely .

So, why doesnt it deserve 20K? If it was already under your ownership Id bet you'd think it was worth 30

If it deserves 20K it will be sold. If it would be in my ownership (which it would not be), I would have paid what I could confidently sell it for without losing my butt. Banking on profits from classic cars are fantasies of couch potatoes who watch too much American Pickers. Thankfully for me, what I like now on 4 wheels (fuselage Mopars) can still be found for cheap and I suspect they will stay flat for some time as the demographic of buyers is likely shrinking and they are already a very niche car. That car is very nice but not my cup of tea. The friend I was going to look at for already moved onto something else.

I hear you, but I dissagree.

69-73 fuselage cars are gaining popularity to a wider and wider section of the hobby.

Major collectors are now finally taking a second look!

If you offered 15 then 18.5 isn't outrageous if you want the car. If it is potentially going to be moving on in a year, maybe not. If it were a different color or had a white interior. ....I'd be really interested.
As stated earlier, if he didn't start at 35 but maybe 22, it surely would have sold by now

I understand Tobias.

I don't want the car either but have bought cars in the past if they were cheap enough and I was bored.

But I have a ev2 orange 71 Sport Fury already so I am out, too

I offered him $15000 for the Fury and he turned it down. He is firm at $18500usd or $25000cad .
If you really love it and can pay the extra cash then snap it up and you'll forget the price when cruising down the highway. Cochrane Dodge may be willing to put it on their lift and give it a look over. A couple of boxes of beer would likely help.

Ya it just came through my head was just one of those ideas that i need one
I was ready to buy it for $15000 but after I got the photos and a night thinking I changed my mind.
The last time one of those ideas came through my head i ended up with a Dodge Viper GTS lol and i sold the car after a while because i was to scared to drive the car (to much gravel on our
Roads)

A few years ago I was after the first gen GTS. Searched high & low for the right one. As a Mopar guy from birth, it was a reasonable holy grail buy. Found a great low mileage car at the right price and bought sight unseen off CL. After I had the car a few weeks I decided to sell it. Bored the crap out of me (slow) and it was just crudely built. Car seemed to be built for looking at versus really pushing on the mountain roads. Had a ton more enjoyment out of my fuselage Polara and 2 stroke street bikes. Took forever to sell the Viper. They still seem like a relatively cheap great buy for a pretty cool super car. Just not my thing.

Did we see a picture of your car ?

FYI, The 16 slot road wheels were optional on the '71 Sport Fury GT.

I used to own the highest option '71 GT known so I know a few things about these cars.

Anyone notice that the car has a manual side view mirror. Except for the bucket seat option and vinyl top, this car is pretty much a low option car.

No body has addressed the interior on this car. Everything is wrong and some items have had hideous things done to them. The left side dash bezel is even incorrect and not original to the car. The interior essentially needs a total gut and do over. Anyone have a black set of '71 Sport Fury door panels and matching rear panels? This car needs them. I estimate the cost to redo the interior correctly is going to cost at least $5k. I can't believe that no one has posted photos of the interior or the painted heater box under the hood or the loose gutter and window trim and....
