"Chump"
Tell me about it! Mine's gonna have last till I retire. I'm not gonna spend 160k on a new truck. I just renewed my franchise for another 5 years back in September. Gotta make it at least that long.
My point was, it's a damn shame they don't make a plain Jane truck any more, and I could give a hoot about the economics or resale or the big wigs vision of what we're "supposed" to be driving. If they made an affordable truck they would sell a ton of them. You shouldn't have to spend half of what you'd pay for a house on a basic work truck that will be worthless in 3 years.
I stumbled across a picture of my '79 Trail Duster in Sunburst Orange that I was telling you about. Scanned from a polaroid so the quality isn't that great.View attachment 120027
I'm looking for one but they are very hard to find!

Looks like you're running a chop shop! Nothing like being neck deep in multiple projects. Nice work.
I hope some jackass neighbor doesn't stir up any trouble for you. We'll have come down and 'splain it to them![]()
Busy week. But she is orange!! Took her up to work to get painted. Blocked the body down, and sprayed another coat of primer, and blocked once more. She's pretty straight. Have about 5 coats of paint on her. Hopefully she dries enough to come home tomorrow afternoon/night.

Man I love that colour! Reminds me of my first Doba MU3 Carmel Tan Metallic
Cool... now you don't have to repaint the house...
Looking good Zac!![]()
With luck, buffing after she fully cures will bring that back... I'm not expert enough to even guess... nice job again. It does look pretty Carmel at night. Can see it turn orange with the flash of the camera. Can't wait to see it in the sunlight today!
No paint on the house yet lol. Do feel better with a roof over it though. Didn't seem to get "too" humid last night/this morning. Hopefully it cured pretty nice!
I think the moisture in the mornings hurt the paint on the rear of the cab, and front of the bed when we sprayed it last time. Still looked good, but lost quite a bit of its luster.

Zac, great work...I think a buff is the way to go... it'll have that period look as you say.
I still ,miss the trim!![]()
Yes.You guys have any tips/tricks?? I
She has a hellacious exhaust leak at the passenger side manifold/block. I'm pretty nervous about taking the manifold off, and slipping a gasket in. Afraid of breaking the studs.
You guys have any tips/tricks?? I've done the pb blast before with no luck...
