Another orphan found our driveway...

It's a fun hobby, right?? Soothing, relaxing, almost theroputic... hahaha

Late nights working on her. Gotta get the bed pulled soon. Still need to figure out what to do about the drip rail... as well as finish the floors up. Bunch of parts, and paint on the way. Although, I won't be painting this one! Let a buddy do it.

How did you put the creases in the metal.

This truck is looking great!!!

Not coming out too bad! Driver side is almost ready for filler. Ran outa gas again.

You gotta keep the cab lights. Since it is a 2 WD put some long running boards on and light them up along the whole length.

Cab lights are staying for sure! They are one of my favorite features of the truck! Idk bout the running boards lol...

On a personal note, I think it's a pity the trim is going away. So few of these trucks with the higher end trim get to keep it.
Now that that's off my chest, I honour your choice and if you're going custom with the paint scheme, then perhaps a variation of the "Macho" scheme. Black out hood/ lower belt line and rear fenders tailgate insert with the yellow highlights (minus the "Power Wagon"kick up and roof paint). Would tie in well with the orange metallic well.
Food for thought. Love the truck.

It does suck! But a blessing at the same time. The trim would be a lot of work if we kept it. I think the the truck will look good without it too.

The diff paint schemes are a great idea. That was a thought with this orange. It will be a lot of it, and nothing to really break it up. At the same time, I think this orange can pull it off by itself.

I did make Sabrina get one of those big old '70s DODGE decals for the tailgate. Has to have that! Even if the truck didn't come with it lol.

Thanks!

Used a bead roller. Picked one up a couple years ago from Eastwood. One of those tools you think is not needed, and barely gets used. But damn sure comes in handy when it is needed. This is the 3rd car it's been used on now.

Not a ton to report, but deff been busy. The drip rail delete has come out much better then I anticipated. Still have a couple spots left to perfect, but am pretty happy with it.

Did some body work on the used fender we got, and have it looking good. Pulled the hood, and did a little work to it as well.

Picked up a gallon of red primer, to get everything to match correctly now. Got the whole new front end in primer, and got the back sides of everything painted tonight. A few runs here and there. But it's on the back sides. Just trying to Mach factory lmao

Moving along!

This is what I woke up to today.

No driveway body work here this weekend. Mother nature is certainly a vengeful B.,,.H, guess we will be paying for a week of nice weather in Feb till May. :wtf:

Just catching up on this, nice work! My hat is off to you! Now off to the shop to see if I have power back on yet from the devistating wind storm we had 2 days ago.

Keep that crap up there!! It's been sneeking it's way down here. Was 30 this morning. Freezing my rear off! No signs of it leaving yet either.

Thanks Matt! Power back yet?? The folks got hit by the storm up there too. Luckily only lost power for a few hours. Lots of friends on Facebook were without power as well. Sounded like a nasty storm!

New front end is on. Body lines could line up better. But what do you expect from aftermarket pieces. Got the hood on today. Hopefully get the doors tackled this weekend.

Amazing how much better it looks without the banged up front valence!

That's what you get for being so far up North...
Won't catch me up there.
Yep... we went down to 37*... I was starting to think about a move down to Balloon Knot, Highlands County... stupid job:(.

On the bright side... I didn't have to shovel anything :D

Sucks at work! We work in the typical FL shop, if you can call it that. Just a metal overhang/roof over on the edge of the woods, with no walls. Barely keeps the rain out. Works good in the summer keeping it bareable. But in the winter when it's 10 degrees cooler under the overhang, it's terrible. It's like a wind tunnel.

Idk.. the fedex truck came for the neighbors the other day. My jaw bout hit the ground at the girl that jumped out of the truck. Holy crap!! She must be doing squats the whole time she's driving! I could stick out the cold for that lol

Don't sing me a sing about working outdoors in the winter.
Think of these poor bastards.

I have always understood that to be a miserable company/job regardless of the weather... kinda like the post office with more common sense and fewer weirdos.
