Is it wrong of me liking these wheels on a 300?

Okay, I bit the bullet and placed the order with Summit for 4 Magnum 500 wheels and the lug nut sets and a set of wheel locks.
I'm just getting the Mopar center caps; No spinners.
Next will come the whitewall tires so, in a couple of months, I can post some new pictures and see what you guys think. :sSig_thanks:

Congrads on the order. You will love the wheels. I bought mine from Summit too. How long did it take you to pick out your lug nuts? I swear they had 100 to choose from 20 different suppliers. I had a friend help narrow it down for me, he has an account and when he placed the order I had it the next day, but I live in Ohio which is where Summit is located.

Tip, you won't have the issues that I did with those damn spinners, but the matte black paint will come off the wheel right now. Be extra careful puttinng on the wheels, in other words do it yourself, don't trust Billy Bob at Tire World with his 200lb impact wrench.

I actually called the Summit 800 number and talked to a guy to help me with the order because of the lug nut abnormality. He found lug nuts by Gorilla in right and left hand thread really quickly. I also got a set of wheel locks for them, too.
As for Billy Bob and his impact: No, I will get the tires mounted but I will install them myself.
I don't need those minimum-wage apes dinging up my wheels.

One More Question

I have one more (?) question about the wheels and tires for my 300.
I am wondering what size 15" tires you guys have put on the various big Chryslers?
I am looking at something like a 225/75- 15 or something in a similar size range.
Is that too big, just about right, ridiculous or what?
I have two other cars that have 15" wheels, but they are more muscle-car types.
I have a 64 El Camino with 15X 8 Cragars with 235/60-15 Radial T/A's and a 67 Cougar with 15X7 Keystones and 225/60-15 Radial T/A's.
I just don't think the 60 series tires will look good on this particular car, but I would really like some input from guys who know.

How do you think these Keystones would look on the 300?

I put 235/60R-15 on 15X7 wheels, so you can be the judge of how they look on my car. The tire size has been a much discussed topic but I knew these would fit and and very happy with the look and fit. The keystones have a very similar look to the Magnum 500, it's your car. I still personally like the 500s plus I like the fact you can't see the big old brake drums behind them'

Here is a straight side shot missing the spinners.

I really like that side shot. I think the Magnums will look great on the Chizzler and I won't have to pay thru the nose for left hand thread shank-type lugnuts for the Keystones!!
I think the 225/75-15's will be a good fit for me. The difference between the 235/60 and the 225/75 diameter is pretty significant, too. Over 2 inches taller. With a 3.23 gear and 225/75's, it will cruise 65 mph at about 2500 rpm. With the same gear and rpm, the 235/60's knock off 5 mph.
I can't wait to get the new stuff on the car and try it out.
Thanks again for your help.

I run Cooper 215-15 75 series W.W. because they're cheap, readily available, and stocked by my local tire store. This week I put an entire 8 miles on my car. I don't need 50,000 mile ultra premium sneakers.

Those Keystones look very nice!!!!

I have Signet DSR II P235/75R15's on the Ny'er. Good enough until spring. I put on 250 miles on the NY'er within a 40 mile radius this week.

I wish I knew how many miles I drive. My odometer doesn't work. Speedo works fine, but no odometer.
I contacted a speedometer repair business in Houston to see about getting it fixed and was told that they can't get parts to repair the older Chrysler units.
Anyone know of a place that does repair them, hopefully someplace close to Houston?

I've had pretty good luck with Coopers.

I think I will end up with the Cooper Trendsetter SE whitewalls in 235/75/15.
They should look good in the wheel wells on the new wheels, and they are only $71.00 each at Discount Tire.
Five of them will only run me about $475, out the door.

Very nice, that is one sharp automobile!

Like it better minus spinners, still sharp though.

I like it better minus the hood scoop nincompoopery...

Had to look that up. You should put this word in a cloisonne´
