Beautiful Saturday at the Nats in Ohio. It was great to see Dave, and that he made it here, in his project Charger. I met AJ, sorry forgot your FCBO name. Messaged Randy MOVE N UP but never actually saw him, but I did get my power seat that Murray Park brought from Carlisle, for Randy.

We were lame and didn't get a picture together. Here are some c-bodies pictures. I will start with this Town & Country wagon, I loved it. The owner Curt had the wood panels airbrushed, it was amazing. I liked the 300 grill and bumper.

Nice 66 Monaco. More details please!

Good eye Ross I was going to give some more detail. It was in the survivors tent and he was the original owner. I talked to his son, he said it has never been repainted and everything was original. I was in amazing shape, it was their family car for the first 17 years, and then it has been used sparingly from that point with 112,000 miles.

The disorganization of the Nationals has always frustrated me. They take care of the golf cart issue yet?

I needed to do another event this summer. With my Daughter in from Idaho I couldnt get to Ohio ...

Thanks for posting those pics Mike! I'm sorry I missed it but it's almost 9:30 pm now and I'm just getting ready to leave my shop...:realcrazy:

Missed seeing you this year Matt. The 67 Imperial was in the car corral and was a beautiful car. A peek through the glass. Is that a factory option interior, it looked original?

Good seeing Mike we talked for a while. My Charger made it with little fan fair. Started putting it through its paces today, taking it in stride like a good Mopar should.
Some of my interesting pics.

This was really cool like a half assed racer from back in the day that got found/pulled from a barn and drove there.

Then there is this car.

And ran a 10.80

Then these two trouble makers.
Silver bullet one and two. A 9.80 for #2 and a 10. Teen for #1.
And my pick for best use of a neon

Then there is this guy.

All in all had a great time at the Nats even with slipping and falling out of the shower at the hotel and breaking the toilet seat. That's a story you will have to catch me in person to hear. No pictures on that.

Thanks for the pic's guy's, a customer of mine said he was going to go and sell parts. He went to Carlisle also but he never sees any of the cars because he is too busy selling parts.

The first year for the split bench seat, but the "inserts" look like they've been replaced and the arm rests have been recovered. Stitching and seams are the give-aways, to me. The cloth inserts would have had the Imperial logo on the upper seat backs, I believe.

Mopar Nats has its own way of doing things, you just have to learn to use them to your advantage. Out of about two decades, starting in '88, I only missed about three years until 2005 which was my last trip. There was a group of us from the North Loop Dodge Performance Team that went every year, some even taking cars for the car show. It was a great reason to "get out of town" and get my Mopar "battery" recharged. That first year, it was sensory overload as I saw all of the stuff I'd only seen in sales brochures when they were new.

One of our group would get a swap meet space to park a car on, as a "base of operations" of sorts. I came to park in the adjacent public parking with a "full event" length parking ticket. The cars in the spectator parking were a car show unto themselves, too!

For us in TX, this was a huge shopping excursion, too! The second year, I scored a full AM/FM Multiplex Stereo radio set-up for a '68 Chrysler, that will also fit my '67 Newport instrument panel, including the dash trim plate. "The innards of a C-body dash", as my associates termed it! That year, we were in the Charles Dart video. Others were looking for 426 HEMI parts, before any were reproduced. GREAT times! GREAT cars! GREAT experiences! Just got to be in shape to walk that much! But it was certainly worth it! Lots of outstanding memories! Haven't made it to Carlisle, though. But it's not out of consideration.

Thanks for the great pictures!

The ONE thing that is amazing to me is the full-generational diversity of the spectators and participants! And everybody tends to get along with each other!

Hopefully, I'll get back up there a few more times before the bucket is kicked. A GREAT event!
