Flywheel fitment

Speaking with a guy about buying a flywheel from him and really would like to know if it will work for my application. There are no numbers on the flywheel. It is the larger (140 tooth, I
guess that's the correct number) flywheel I have attached pics which he sent me. He said it came off of a 440 but did not know what year or whether or not it had a forged or cast crankshaft. Can anyone Identify it?

WHY would you not buy a NEW flywheel.....?

You are being cheap in an area that is going to cost you more to be cheap........

Okay, looking on Autozone.com they offer only one flywheel and it costs well over $300.00. If this is what I need it comes with a brand new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing all for $100.
 
Can you get the guy to measure the diameter of the 3 holes on the back side? Page 224 Direct Connection book 383-400 and 440 CAST crank 12.9 in.-oz. spaced 2.5o inch apart to a diameter of 31/32 at a depth of .660 inch . 360 is 1-13/64 diameter holes at .660 deep equaling 19.79 in.-oz. Anyway this is cast crank stuff (external balance) stuff in the picture.
 
Yes, I have a 130 tooth flywheel but not sure what engine it works with. (Pics attached) It came in a parts car (65 Fury III) with a junk 440 just sitting in it bolted to the back of the engine but the installation of the 4 speed stuff on the 440 in the car was never completed. I also have the bellhousing which came with the car as well, part number 2468370. All of the 4 speed stuff came with the car but was never installed completely. This flywheel had an 11" clutch disc on it under the pressure plate.

That looks like a neutral balance wheel which would be correct, but I don't think it can be saved by looking at the pic of the surface, you'd have to cut it pretty deep.

God only knows how long it sat on the back of the 440 out in the weather with no hood on the car and also with the clutch and pressure plate mounted which didn't help matters much either.

Please tell me where I can get one new or good used for a decent price? Rock Auto doesn't carry flywheels according to the parts listings.
 

Awesome. Thanks Kevin. That pointed out another thing which I have never dealt with before having never dealt with Mopar engines. They state that the balancing weight has to be trimmed to match the individual crankshafts balance by a machine shop. I am not disassembling the engine that far. I know on (may be frowned on here) but Ford and Chevy flywheels and flexplates are a set weight and no special adjustments are required per individual crankshaft. I am not planning on turning crazy RPM's so I guess ball park balance will have to suffice.
 
If you have a neutral balanced engine, a machine shop could spin that flywheel and check and correct any imbalance it might have.

Unfortunately even though I got a forged crankshaft along with the very low usage 440 I bought recently the crankshaft in the motor is a cast crankshaft. So, I need the externally balanced flywheel. Didn't make much sense to me that he built an engine with forged pistons and forged rods but a cast crank even though a forged crank which could have been turned was on hand.
