Let's see some Wagons!

Checking the parts book, the carpet colour code is HL5 -
H - Engineering code for model year 1972 - the year that shade was introduced. 1973 lists carpet colours from 1971 (G) and 1973 (J). Not unusual to carry colours forward if they are popular.
L - Colour - Beige / Parchment
5 - Shade, where 1 is light and 9 is dark. So 5 is mid way.

Makes sense, the "Parchment" off-white is the theme throughout the interior. I'm having trouble getting what I consider a satisfactory match from a carpet supply company, "Stock Interiors", they've sent me multiple swatches and I think even taking into consideration fading from the sun, I don't think I've found a match. The color I have now in the car is best described as 'Pea Soup', in my humble opinion. If anyone knows of a good online resource or a trustworthy shop that may not have a strong online presence, I'd love to hear about it. I'm tempted to replace the floor carpet with black, also make black the armrests, door pulls, and dash pad, just to contrast the rest of the white in the interior. Black because it's available and wouldn't clash horribly due to minor shade differences. There is carpet as a kick plate on the doors and the front seat back, I would just dye that black with RIT. We'll see what I can find. Of course I'd prefer to stick with replacement items the same color as original.

Wagons are too cool!!!! My Dad always had a Mopar wagon when I was a kid... had 7 brothers and sisters.

6 sisters and 3 brothers here. Dad bought a 1965 Coronet wagon, then a 1966 Coronet Wagon and last a 1968 Polara wagon. Covered a lot of states in those cars.

Get a dated Bill of Sale and go talk to one of Wisconsin's finest Troopers for an inspection.He'll run the vin and assuming it comes back clean you're good to go. Piece-a-cake. That's the way it's done on the east side of Lake Michigan, You guyz on the west side of the lake can't be all that different or difficult ? Jer

Finally posting pictures of my Evelyn
1970 383/727/8.75 basic 6 passenger Sport Suburban power steering, disc brake upgrade, non-air conditioned car. Upgrading the exhaust with HP manifolds and TTI 3" exhaust (over kill for a stock 383 but you never know) the interior is shot, but I've added split bench seat and 3" seatbelts, aluminum radiator and spal cooling fan.

Very nice wagon, great color, is that original? Bought my very first turbo Omni in South Holland around 1998, very fun car.

It seems that the blue may have been painted once upon a time. I got the wagon from Montana, but it was a California dessert car. The interior was destroyed and the plastic was caulk like. But the body is EXTREMELY solid no holes in the floor anywhere.

I found this C&R radiator on Speedway Motors. I didn't really want a 'shiny' radiator, but two cans of Eastwood radiator paint will hide that fact when the hood is closed. I've used these NASCAR style radiators before and I think they are better than the eBay Champion ones

User '70 Sport Suburban' has the best luck finding wagon parts. I call him the "Cbody Whisperer" his black wagon was actually mine at one time.

I'm on my 4th '83 Plymouth Scamp GT Pickup. This one iz the rust free keeper. I bought an '89 LeBaron TI car and relieved it of its 2.5L engine and 3spd automatic trans and installed it in my little Trucklet + intercooler. Took the Scamp from '84 HP to something just north of 200 HP and Jer iz now ah very happy camper. And it weighs just 2250 and all the ricers in the neighborhood are goin' HUH?
