The rear door must be to access the spare. I don't mind it.

A guy I worked with had a mid 70's GM. I laughed when he bought it, but he said "Go take a look" and I had to say that it was done fairly well. It wasn't a show car... It was built to haul stuff, but it was not a hack job.

The issue I have with all of the Mopar conversions are the roof and doors are too short. If you look at an El Camino, you'll see they used doors from a 2 door, so the length of the roof and side windows look correct. It always looks like your head would be against the back window in most conversions.

So yea... a 2 door sedan would be the car to start with... or at least not cut the roof up so far. Ideally, the rear of a station wagon and the front of a 2 door sedan.

I would think so as well. Not a big industry around Chrysler professional cars, but they were out there.

Edited: just looked more closely at the pics. Saw the rear doors. I’m going to change my opinion to hack job!

I think that rear door gives access to the box behind the rear window.
