Curious on value of rare car. Need input

its the street single four wedge 426 . the street version of the max wedge car had twin off set afb carbs and 11 to 1 cr , this single afb four car is 10.25 to 1 cr and same heads as a hp 383 or 413 heads . max's heads are different type wedge heads without any heat risers ports for cross flow through the intake . rhere was a few versions of the 426 wedge from this 10.25 cr to 13.5 cr under a maxwedge head .

Thanks for the specs! The max wedge is a whole different animal. I owned one. There is not a single documented ‘64 Max Wedge Sport Fury. They’re Belvederes.

I owned a 64 polara 500 426 street wedge 4spd , black on black car , sold it :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
 
I sure do miss my max wedge! More than I miss my Superbird. But my ‘72 Imp still puts the biggest smile on my face!

The 64's were rust-buckets and the engines were terribly unreliable. That car is a money pit and you'll never recoupe your investment. I'd do you a favor I suppose and reluctantly take it off your hands to save you the grief, money and time trying to restore it......for say $300.00 :rolleyes: I'm feeling generous at that....

Course as I looked closer I saw the rarity and beauty of the car.
Once I saw the cue ball (shifter), the interior, the plates, and the red/white/blue decals I knew it was a very special car. I have no plans to change ANYTHING whatsoever, I just want to get the car running and give it a serious comet wash and cleanup.
Please any information on how to handle this with the Mopar (club) if you will, please let me know how to handle accordingly so I preserve the importance and the cars rare nature to make sure it stays what it should be. Again I’ll post a plethora of pictures and information so you guys can take this extraordinary journey with me. Thank you for the kind posts and welcome,
On the Polara build I received so much hate and I was only doing what I could at that time to enjoy the car.

Try to vacuum off as much of the pine/fir needles as you can prior to washing the car. Pine and fir needles tend to get packed in the wiper cavity, the cowl and chrome around the window trim. Needles also tend to pile up in the bottom of doors and inside of the rear window cavity. When wet that stuff gives off an acid as it decays, so look for rust anyplace there where that type of debris piled up on the car. Keep a pressure washer away from any aluminum trim as the metal is soft and pressure washing will damage it.

Thank you. I really did feel beat up with the yellow Polara, enough so I haven’t posted anything with the green car. This car though deserves to be represented here. It’s extremely original and I want to get real input BEFORE anything is done.

Yeah, I’ll lift everything off the paint and interior before I do any cleaning. Normally I would pressure wash engine bays and door sills, but this car is rare enough I will make sure and be gentle. Is it smart to post the VIN here on FCBO, or should I keep most of that info private?

As long as you have a clear title, it should not be an issue, although I would have the title in my own name prior to posting that info.
