If our friends up north start acting silly...

Legalized? NO, Decriminalized? Yes! There's a big difference between the two. Decriminalized you have control over the laws and who can get it, just like with alcohol. Alcohol isn't legal, it's decriminalized because only select people can purchase it. It's not that complicated.
Thank you for correcting me.

Sorry Jon, alcohol is legal. Twenty-first Amendment to the United States Constitution - Wikipedia

Weed is not...yet. It is still classified as a schedule 1 drug just like coke, pcp and heroin. At the federal level you can still get busted for it.

It's still a controlled substance and not everybody can have it, so how it that still legal? I still say it's more decriminalized then legal. Now we're getting into semantics.

I don't think weed is any more dangerous than alcohol. It is a shame that the U.S. government doesn't legalize it and get the tax revenue $Billions it will generate. Pay off the national deficit in record time....

The only people that cannot have it are under 21. Not everybody can have a driver's license either, but driving is not illegal.

Kinda thought you would be able to see all the cows laying around eating Doritos outside your window....:poke:

A farmer friend of mine that grows the stuff dropped off a little gift the other day. Not sure what we’ll do with it, it’s been well over 30 years for me. He says it’s primo sheet man. Maybe the Alberta fcbo contingent should have a little get together to see if we can ease some of the age related creaks and groans. What da ya think boys?

The FCBO Canadian Cannabis Cup! Get Doritos to sponsor it!

It would make a great drone video. Circle the Mopar wagons out in the pasture with a bunch of old men with hats passing the pipe. Might even go viral.

After 50 years of smoking I finally quit cold turkey 10 years ago so no puffing for me, however, "special" cookies would be hard to pass up!

Discovered a Pot Shop about 10 min from home. When Canucks decide to get in the pot business they don't fool around!

Think it will be a long haul for THC pot to be “legal” in 50 states.

The medicinal oil is a different matter...I really think opposition to it is has pretty much disappeared.

But for the stuff that gets you stoned, legal or not...consider...the Feds control alcohol production, usage and consumption along with each state. It’s taxed at many levels.

And the initials, ATF, stand for the bureaucracy that oversees all three things the Feds grudgingly allow some citizens to posses...constitutionally allowed or not.

Don’t see that changing dramatically, regardless of what individual states or other countries do.

(The ATF does not stand for “Automatic Transmission Fluid” either...to those Canadians who might wonder. :p)
