I made me a compact cargo carrier for the Mopar man van

Total out of pocket cost $15+ tax
Had some scrap metal laying around
Led light cargo carrier kit pre wired from Princess Auto
Sprayed with black truck box liner

Put it to the test right away with a load of mulch

A 4-dr RAM with some sort of bed cover. Or some sort of harder vinyl liner for the rear of the van.

It’s not the mess I’m worried about
It’s the stink of the stain in the mulch that is the equivalent of putting your hands around my throat that is a killer for me in close quarters of the van

Oddly enough I like the smell of bulk mulch, not so much the bagged stuff, it's all wet and damp and stuff

I agree
We normally haul the mulch purchase it in bulk 1/2 yard at a time but the mrs’ wanted bagged mulch this year
Walmart had slightly ripped 2 cubic feet bags for $1.50 each and this stuff smells of varsol
Won’t go that route again unless we have the trailer hooked up
Used 10 in total
With the bulk we usually get more than what we need and end up giving some away to the neighbors that never mulch their garden
One might think that they plan for this

Anyways, I really built the rack so I could get gas for the mowers and not have the smell of gas and lessen the chance of a gas spill in the van
