It´s time for the Slab picture thread

I have not looked at other model lines but lived through the period: comparatively to GM and Ford, I find the 66' to 68' Mopars are the most handsomest and classy. Great assembly of photos. Thank you. autos of that period.

I agree but you can easily add ‘64 & ‘65 to that statement.

Really? Nine thousand miles? There must be a helluva story associated with that car. Sure would love to hear it. . .
I don’t have all the story unfortunately but the guy I bought it from was an 87 yr old former pro drag racer. He was the second owner. Car was sold new in NY state and was apparently never driven, at least not in winter! The gent I bought it from had it cocooned up off the ground in his garage, wrapped up like a mummy!

Thanks. That is a helluva story! I wonder why the car was never driven after the original purchase. I think there is a movie that could be made around that. . .

Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with it...I realize it’s not a hemi Superbird but am I being stupid to drive it and use it as intended? That was my original plan but once I got it home and started going through it made me remember the line “ they’re only original once”...

I'd drive the wheels off it, it's a car. Don't let it sit idle, then it's a waste.

Thankfully I can still drive Mz. Ruby. I've put 350+ miles on it since April. The PO only put 12 miles. Criminal negligence!

I've posted this car in another thread but here is a shot of my "garage find" 67 Polara 500. Still a work in progress. It was put in storage in 1974 in Oregon with 86K and came out last April. Original paint, top and interior with a 383 4bbl. I'm the 3rd owner and have a paper trail to when she was bought new.
