No, probably won’t make it to Carlisle...and haven’t been restoring the car! There’s a brake fluid leak right now between master cylinder and booster l need to fix...also, gas gauge and the a/c don’t work...

Simple fixes that can be done in time for Carlisle,LOL!
Replace master cylinder...Check ground for gas guage at sending unit,upgrade A/C to R134a,etc LOL!
Bought it in 1996... lm the third owner. The car spent its first 29 years California. 440 Engine has never been rebuilt , have been adding lead substitute ( but hard to find anymore) because it doesn’t have hardened valve seats.. What influenced me to get a 67 300 is that my parents had one from 1969-72... it was dark green though.
The additive is not really necessary unless you are towing an Airstream or hot dogging the car.
For the amount and type of driving you do, just run a premium grade fuel with no Ethanol in it. Your valves will be fine.
What really burns out the valves is 1) excessive idling, and 2) timing not set correctly--or detonation.
If and when the time comes to rebuiild the motor get hardened valve seats installed or go with a set of 452 iron heads.
Cost to rebuild a set of 452's is the same or less than the original heads (they already have the hardened seats) Open chamber heads ,they may drop the compression by .5 but will greatly reduce the risk of detonation.

Thanks for this! I can relate to why you bought your 300. I was influenced to buy my 67 Newport because my folks had one when my wife and I were dating.

Thanks Luke! I am biased to '67 Fury, my dad had one and it was the first car I rode in. I was brought home as a newborn in that car. I have one like it which i bought from Retroman on this forum.

That '67 Monaco needs to be in a garage! It looks like it is still just about all there, needs TLC.
It’s pretty much rotted out in all the bad places. Not worth the time effort and money to restore. Just glad it didn’t get crushed. Great organ donor.
Sunk down half a foot in the dirt for close to 30 years. Has some great parts. Just picked it up a few weeks ago.

I'm glad it didn't get crushed also. The donor parts will come in handy I'm sure.
