705 = Scheduled production date. May or may not be the actual date of assembly.

Tire code 835 = 83= 7.75 x 15 white walls; five tires

M7Q = cloth and leather interior
S/B = black stripe. If you look closely, that is a B for standard black stripe, not an 8.

Thanks!
The tire code has been problem with all decoders I have found!
That sounds right.

But the interior on my Crown is vinyl, not leather.:wideyed:

And you´re correct. That stripe code is B not 8 as I have read it all the time.
No trace of stripe can be seen anymore on paintwork as it has been faded so well. Color has probably been the Persian White.

Considering your car is 53 years old it's not surprising that changes have been made. The rear defogger probably failed and was removed as parts to repair it may have been too difficult to locate, vinyl is a cheaper interior option and, as you say, the stripe has faded.

All the best getting her back into shape.

The car is quite disassembled at a moment, but here are some I took couple a years ago when I got it.

Project car..

Wow, it needs some tlc! What’s your plan? And that IS leather.

Yeah..
It´s under construction now and will get a new life.
You´re sure about that leather?

I need to check the seat cover as I disassembled one bucket seat last winter.
Material does not feel anything like leather, but every rubber part on that car is hardened also.. They are brittle!

Ok. Here is the seat cover underside.

They are vinyl.

I have lots of parts for the ‘67s and I ship to Finland no problem.

The only size tire for the Imps in the literature is 9.15 x 15.

The bolsters are vinyl the parts you sit on and lean against are leather.

I'm using the White book for the decode. I thought that was a small tire for an Imperial and odd. I can't find any other cars with the 83 tire. So the answer is: white book has an error and for 1967, 83 = 9.15 x 15.

V/2... I don't know. This is the only C* or Y* car I have on file with the code. It would be nice to see a Broadcast sheet for this car. That would narrow down the possibilities.

You guys are walking dictionaries..:wideyed:
That boadcast sheet would be awesome, but unfortunately I have not found that.

The seat backs are all opened, and seats taken out of the car but no broadcast sheet.. Rear seat has been re-upholstered poorly by some earlier owner. That needs to be corrected at some stage.:(
This car came to Finland 2001 and has not been driven since. I am the third Finnish owner.

Thats good to hear!
There will be some stuff I am going to need.
Some things will, and has been changed, but interior is one that will remain as original as I can keep it. Probably the exterior too.

I got the car 5 years ago without the original engine but now it has -72 440 engine with torque cam/opened heads and 46RH transmission. Rear axle is 9.25" with 3.90 ratio and locker.
I am also using FAST fuel injection to feed the engine so that side is a bit off from factory design..:confederateflag:

There was just no way to keep this original with all the missing/damaged parts.

Yours is a very late built ‘67, they probably don’t get too much later than July 5. It is also unusual to see the auto temp ac in a ‘67. Yours and my Mobile Director car which was built(scheduled) the end of May are the only 2 I’ve seen so far.
I have some used hood ornaments and also new(NOS) and used cornering light lenses.
I also have most of a decent black interior from one of these, it’s too bad you’re across the pond.

I have never thought of that this might be the last ones.
I need to have a toast for Impi in a couple of days.. She´s bit over 5 years older than I am.:D

I think I have the hood ornament in some box.. I think I have seen it. But if not, you´ll have a deal of one.. And I have one repairable cornering light lens to replace the missing driver side.:)

Couple of the Power seat solenoids are dead at least on the passenger side seat, maybe on drivers side too..:(

One bigger problem is quite rusted out deck lid. I can salvage that, but it will be a lot of work.:BangHead:
14690964.jpg

The bumperettes of course.. I need to replace the lower portion of them and weld in some new material. Probably they´ll get chrome powder coating..
Rear bumper has also dents and one rust hole also. I need to think what to do with that..:(

Good on you man, get after it! I’ll be watching, these are my favorite cars.
