For only 842 made.......they are popping up all over the place! LOL!

As long as the numbers are good for Dave's registry.

while Dave seems to be gone (hope he is ok) someone should contact the seller and ask for the VINs if possible and maybe fender tags

Found them at the bottom of a lake?

If the interior is that corroded I'd hate to see the frame. On the link with the Sprite what is the point of dangling dice from and rear view mirror mounted to the dash? :BangHead:

Where did you get that number? I've been following these cars for over 10 years and I've never seen such a huge variation from the generally accepted number of 842.

Kevin McCabe.........695 for U.S. There were abt 139 made for canada and 3 for other export. that brings us to 837 so these numbers are obviously off a bit.

Dooh! Had a brain cramp. I knew that just didn`t read your post carefully. Actually have the breakdown for both groups.

is your breakdown any more accurate than mine? can you forward via pm or email if you don't mind? i only have the u.s. one that kevin posted on the yahoo group

First this from Kevin....
I thought in the interests of getting off my butt andchecking the production records, I should forward the following. It'staken from the 1970 "F" model official vehicle production programnumber 75, dated June 30,1970

842 built in total, all at Belvidere.

703 shown as U.S. Domestic built-up units
139 shown as U.S. plants built-up units for Canada,
3 Export-Import division built upunits. A note at the bottom of the page listing the 703 U.S. Domesticunits indicates these cars were included in that total, which means the U.S.actually got 700 of them.

Then this from Kevin re Canadian cars...

Those are very interesting statistics. It would be nice if all that and any other break down info was published on the Hamtramck Registry for all to enjoy.

Do you guys Figure Kevin McCabe would have any information pertaining to '69 Fury Convertibles?

He seems to really know his stuff.

Nick

Is there a way to contact him?

Wow, bad shape there. If one does the work themselves they will easily have $30,000+ in a 12,000 car assuming the frame isn't toast. To take them to grade 1 show condition would need professional work $40,000+. Why? I'm probably low on the cost to restore.

Yes but they dont grow on trees, none of these cars are getting restored for investment, haven't we talked about this?

great. If I could choose I would take a turquoise one with a t-code 440 :))
But an EV2 hemi orange one would be fine, too if it is not total junk (Dave kept me away from the one which floating around for years)

Turquoise would be great but would need white interior.

That's a fascinating breakdown of production numbers. Do stats like this exist for other models (the 300 perhaps?) or was this done through private research?
