Hi to all. I have been looking for information on the production numbers for 1967 Monaco 500's and have been unable to find anything other than general production numbers. I am hoping someone may be able to tell me how many were produced in Canada and the USA with the L code 440HP. Mine is a Canadian (Windsor plant) produced car. Here are a couple pics. It's been 5 months of fun and frustration at times, but the old beast is back from the dead after I bought her from the last owner who apparently took her off the road in 1996.

Thanks for your help.

Very nice, love the colors. You probably won't find the production numbers your seeking. You can bet they would be low though.

Will.

Beautiful! I love those wheel covers. More pictures please!

Numbers are a bit varied. Oldrides.com and classiccardatabase.com claim only 2500 produced, while carscoms.com claims 5237 produced. Either way, not many are roaming around, and with a 440, even fewer.

Blue w/white top is really nice, here. To me, the FastTop works better on Dodges than Plymouth Furies for those years, especially with vinyl. Those wheel covers are my favorite, and are from '66, but a good number of them found their way onto '67's as well......Great job on the "revival" of this beautiful Monaco..…

Thanks to all. I appreciate it. Here are a few pics from when I bought it. I'll go snap a couple pics of the new and improved engine bay and the interior. I still have some work to do to both.

Nice, 440 HP, PW, tilt/tel wheel. I have an older Galen book, doesn't break it down by body style but 440 HP w/auto was 286 total.

Engine bay as of today. Have to finish off heater/rad hoses etc. The only modification I could find on the car was someone put an MSD box on it. Looks like it was an attempt to solve a bad points distributor problem. I am putting in an electronic ignition conversion kit rather than rebuilding the distributor. I know not everything is the proper colours but the goal is to get it looking good and drive it. It's really hard to find the right info to make it factory correct.

Pic of rear seat in cleaner than before condition. Still need to deep clean front.

Good looking car . Can't help with 440 breakout numbers but my Standard Catalogue of Chrysler states "2500 Monaco 500 passenger cars were built during the 1967 model year."

In Canada the disc brakes were mandatory with the 440 HP. There was one of these near Red Deer some years ago. I rode in it. It was a low option car with column shift and tan color.
