Looking at picking this one up. Factory T-code 440, nicely optioned. No rust, minor dents. Missing: roof rack, carb, distributor, radiator, tail lights... ResizedImage_1375084507144.jpg

Welcome aboard!

:sFl_america2:

Looks like a nice project car.

looks good if the price is right.....make sure you check the bottom for rust if it
s been sitting in the weeds

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Thanks all, great site! I am thinking it will go for close to scrap price, has been sitting there 10 years or so don't know how long before that... still sittin on bias plys, keys in it. Underneath has light scale rust as far as I can tell but has been sitting in the grass and rack has been off for a few years, need to check further. Original paint, jambs are like new, interior needs a good cleaning. Can anyone tell me... this one has the std perf T-code 440. In 70-71, was the U-code TNT hi perf 440 available in the wagon? Never seen as an option. Hate to see it crushed, never see the 71's... especially with the 440.

:sSig_greetingsthor: :welcome:...... It would be great to see that wagon survive 10 years in a salvage yard and then brought back to street duty. Sounds like it could be done without a huge investment too.
You in the right place for help and encouragement here......

According to the factory data, the U code was not available in the T&C. However, my Dad had one of these when I was a kid and it was a U code, I vividly remember the dual snorkels orange engine and dual exhausts. The 71 T&C is my favourite C body for sentimental reasons as it was the car that got me hooked on all things automotive as a kid. I wish I had pics of my dad's wagon to prove it.

My Dad had 3 Mopar wagons when I was a kid. I like them too.

I know the dual exhaust were an option on all engines 383 4V and up. I believe you on the U code in the '71 T&C...gray area on the '70-71. Heard of others is why I ask. This is a project, but as far as I can tell, dry wagon... hard to find. Wife thought it was the ugliest thing she has seen. I think it is bitchin'... C'mon, new paint, wood grain... Lol!

Didn't realize there was a second page going... will keep you posted. When I get home from oregon coast, will have to pull the trigger. I attended too many monster truck shows in the 80's watching these wagons being jumped all over.

welcome to the site wagons are cool 77 gran fury wagon my parents owned was what really sealed my mopar destiny.

My friend and I got busted by the cops in one of these, we pulled into an A&W drive-in at 3am one night. We borrowed the keys from his moms purse and pushed it down the road before starting her up, that was 1979, we were 13 years old. She wasn't that mad either, she just said DON'T DO IT AGAIN. We did that kinda stuff all the time but that was the first and only time we got caught.

The T code 440 was available in the wagons with dual exhaust and dual snorkel air cleaner.
I had a 71 T&C in the late 90s, it was a great car drove it daily till the sub frame gave out.

I wonder if my Dad had one of those T code engines that was painted the wrong color? I was too young to know about engine codes, but I do remember the orange 440.

Welcome to the party TC440. If you decide not to pull the trigger P.M. me the location. Trust me when I tell yeah I KNOW WHAT THAT T&C NEEDZ IN THE WAY OF RESTORATION. And I'll make room for it if I have to add another stall. Jer

This makes much more sense... blue T-code 440 with optional dual exhaust gave you dual snorkel air cleaner. This one still has single exhaust... will be upgrading to TNT specs. I will have to check, but believe only air cleaner lid remains in cargo area...
