toying with the idea of painting roof rather than replacing vinyl. Was a vinyl roof a more desirable option back in the day? I am trying to visualize what a painted roof would look like on a coupe, or would it look too large a painted area i.e. vinyl roof breaks up mass of color. Thoughts?

I am trying to un couple connection. It says turn to lock. When i turn opposite way, it has tension under a spring, but will not uncouple. I have used grips, but does not seem to want to let go.

having removed all trim around rear window, I have what looks like a mixture of black mastic and what feels like draught excluder foam. I have cleared this off, so back to bare metal. What material would have been/should be used in this area. It is covered by chrome trim, so cannot be seen, but...

anyone any experience in doing this? I have managed to loosen a section using heat from the back of bumper, but concerned that this may warp the vinyl. Any chemical which could be used to loosen glue without damaging vinyl? Thanks

are bumper jacks pretty standard across the c body range, or are there specific ones for certain years? I am looking to purchase one for a 72 Fury, so would be useful to know what year range I can look for when searching. Thanks
