What matches with interior Dull Silver? 65 Ply SF center console

Hi. I recently was given the black striped center console plate for a 65 Fury/Polara. I had it replated and polished where it needed it. Looks great compared to what I was given. Now... painting it. What rattle can color closely matches the Dull Gray Silver that covers the majority of the...

    Question on window seal quality...

I'm just about ready to have my rear window pulled, body work done and the seal replaced along with it. It's a sore spot on my car as it's covered in silicone, needs metal work and overall looks like crap. So looking at the usual websites we all buy from... what is the difference in the...

For Sale Mid-60s Mopar Air Filter cover - top cover is mint.

I'm selling my extra single snorkel intake as I switched to a dual and I still have my factory unsilenced. My loss, your gain. The larger top section was professionaly powder-coated locally and is in show condition. I straightened any metal issues as the plan was to use this to compete in local...

I need a piece of pot metal re-chromed. Recommendations?

I was fortunate enough to have met an 'old-timer' recently at a car meet that really liked my 65 Sport Fury. He asked me a slew of questions about it, I think testing my knowledge as they love to do. LOL! He was a true Mopar Guy. When he looked in my car, he saw that I had the all wood...

Curious on Block year vs. Car year... 65 Sport Fury..64 383 block

Hiya. A few weeks ago I decided to pull my starter, clean and paint it. Along with that, clean and paint the driver's side block. This would finally tell me the year of my block and it was the last thing on my list to confirm that I basically unknowingly bought a survivor. So into the grease...

Need help. Intermediate shaft not budging?

So the plan for my two days off was to pull my well leaking oil pump, re-seal and install with a new gasket. I watched some videos, read what I could in the service manual, and off I went. Went smoothly. No issues. Put everything back together, pump went right in with some wiggling and...

Need help combating Vapor lock... 65 Ply SF 383

Most of my motor is original, still have the Carter AFB and I plan to (well... hope to) keep it. The intake manifold has some kind of insulation tucked under the carb, not sure what it's for. I just had the carb rebuilt and properly tuned. I 'm good to 180, then once I get any hotter... it...

    FlowKooler... Anyone running one?

My temp is holding at a steady 195. I don't have cooling issues, but I was planning on flushing out the motor as I don't know when it was done before. Some of my freeze plugs will be replaced as well as they look bad... So while I have it all apart, I hear very good things about this water...

Upgrading headlights to relay style. Easy, and quick!

I've been knocking down some of the power mods in my 65 Sport Fury while she's waiting for other items. One of which was the headlight to relay upgrade. This is a great, 1 hour install that again is a must do for these old gals. Naturally, not for the strict OEM/Die-hard originality guys...

    65/66 Fuel Gauge VR upgrade?

Hopefully this thread can serve as an official write-up for modifying the internal voltage regulator in the 65-66 C-Body fuel gauge. I've been trawling the forum looking for a good write-up on changing the fuel/temp gauge VR over to the safer solid state mod. I'm NOT and electrical engineer...

Choke issues... with Cool Carb plate installed. Carter AFB 4200

Anyone have anything positive so say about these things? It looks like my choke is all screwed up from this thing. The previous owner of my car had a Cool Carb heat shield installed on the car as he stated he had issues with the fuel getting vapor lock. I've heard both good and bad about...

    Drum locking issue.

Hi. I've been working with a problem that I can't seem to pin down. Last week I had an issue with my front brakes slowly locking up. It started as a slight groan and as I headed home, brakes were nearly locked to the point of being un-drivable. I tore into the problem by backing off the...

A/T shift knob conversion for using threaded knobs?

Anyone know of an adaptor? I'd like to put an 8 or 9 ball from a 4-Speed as my "shift" knob without altering or damaging the original bar. I can't weld, or have no access to machining tools to make one. Seems like a simple adaptor to make from plate, or some crushed pipe maybe? Thanks!

Was having a great day wrenching on my Fury... until the neighbor...

Had to walk-up and talk.. and talk.. and talk. I was distracted, forgot to reverse the setting on my air wrench and annihilated one of my left-hand threaded lug studs on the front drum. Don't people know that when you have the car out, the hood open... tools everywhere... the music cranking...

I'm looking to replace many of the bumper on my 65 SFury. Anyone make a kit for them, or is there another kit we can use from B-Body, E-Body? Seems from what I can tell, no one makes the 65-66 kit?
