What do you guys make of this ... d '65 300L tag decoded as an example of how to read the '65 data plates.

Same AB 99 means 413 .. how do we know that engine from this plate vs. 383 from '65 Newp plate?

AB-99 indicated standard engine for any particular model. so it would indicate a 413 for the 300L and New Yorkers.

One has to know that then ....

New to slabbies (in 40 years of collecting, I have acquired my only ones the past 3 years - except my single '67 CC Imp I got in 2008) - I didn't know "standard" offerings of the era BY model, so forgive my ignorance.

I should be able to get ahold of them for you, I’d try getting them off and let you know if they are worth taking. Obviously the “h” and “r” are missing.
