1966 Chrysler tail loght bulbs

Is the light bulb socket on 66 300 tail light a friction fit into the housing? Or do you have to twist them to get them out? Don't want to break anything. Thanks

Push in and twist. If they have been in there for awhile they may not come out easily. If you aren't careful you will break the bulb and possibly cut yourself.

Thanks, it's not the actual bulb I'm talking about, it is the socket into the tail light housing.

If it is the factory socket it has to turn.

If they are like my '65, they will just pull straight out from the inside of the trunk. No turning.

A little bit of wiggling helps.

The housings have a tab indexed so the socket pops back in only one way
