The Plymouth VIP stands for, Very Important Plymouth, has the 383 2v with 270 Horsepower
This car was made for the Business man.
On the left and right front fenders Reads Commando V-8 which was a trade name for a variety of V8s in this Era.
The standard Engine for the VIP was the 318ci with 230 horsepower.
The Commando V-8 was the first step-up-option for the 383ci. B series engine with the 2v carb and 270 horsepower and the optional 3 speed automatic torque flite transmission.
All Plymouth VIPs were all hard tops, and the 4dr model was priced slightly higher.
The front has the Split Grill- And stacked quad headlamps.
The front of the Plymouth resembled the Pontiac GTO.
Rear fender skirts were standard on all VIPs, so was the cig-lighter with ash tray For people sitting in the back seat.
The Plymouth has power brakes (Drum Brakes) and power steering, Does not have Air Cond
The VIP Has Tilt-A-Scope, (Telescopes 2.7in, And Tilts To 2 Positions Above Center And 3 Positions Below Center.
The Car Has POSI-TRACTION Differential That Gives Positive Power To each Rear Wheel
Has Front And Rear Seat Belt Retractors (They Keep the Seat Belts Out Of The Way When Not In Use)

Car Has Rot Under Doors Pass And Drivers Side, has Some Rusting In Some Other Areas
The Front Seat Has Some Rips On The Seat And On The Backrest
The Rear Seat Has Sun Damage To The Top Of The Backrest (Dry rotted And Ripped)
The Rear Windows Wont Go Down (Possible Window Regulator)
The Hood Mounted Turn Signal Lights Don't Work
The Headliner Needs Replaced

*sigh* I have a soft spot for these. I grew up in the back seat of one that my parents bought used in '67. I learned to drive in it in '72. This red one though has a lot more options than ours did.
