This 1968 Chrysler 440 was bought at a Chrysler dealer auction in 1980 and has been in the crate ever since...has a S 440 stamp on the pad 1-11-68 on the side . Open to offers

can we see a picture of the crate?

It's interesting, but words mean things to the hearer. When I hear "Crate Motor," I think of high performance motors made by a company like Indy, or others, that offer "built" versions of stock engines. What you are offering is a "stock motor" that was never used.

At this point, since the OP hasn't responded AT ALL to our questions, we know nothing about the motor.

NOS ASSEMBLY LINE NEVER INSTALLED? REBUILT? WARRANTY REPLACEMENT STOCK? HP (Magnum) or standard?

The S does stand for service engine found on warranty units according to reference material.

Document that crate careful, because there maybe none of those left. 1 of 1.

That's a core, not a motor. Again, "words." When I hear motor I expect everything except for the carb and distributor, and sometimes they are there too.

Not a core but an nos short block.
