Owned since 5/13. Texas truck with CertiCard. 318 auto, AM, heater. Tons of new on this truck since my acquisition! New Brakes, exhaust, shocks, front axle rebuilt. New front spring bushings, trans serviced. New windshield and seal. Nice, straight truck with few needs. $6,250 cash money. Trades possible. It has a FARGO tailgate, hood letters and fender emblems.

I have seen a number of strange nameplates, but F-A-R-G-O is a first, special edition? only available in the Dakotas? WAY cool, and what a neat truck........

FARGO was the export. Built for Canada to be sold at Chrysler-Plymouth-DeSoto dealers, plus export for many parts of the world. The FARGO nameplate went away nearly everywhere but Turkey, in the late '70s. I got the tailgate and emblems from a guy in British Columbia.

Always loved the Sweptline trucks. Had a 69 Fargo Camper Special which got traded for the 68 Monaco. Good luck with the sale.

I love the nameplate. I would like to find a real FARGO one day to play with, but being up north probably have some body issues. Truck looks pretty good nonetheless.

Buy mine. The ONLY differences between a Dodge and a Fargo is the hood letters, fender emblems and the tailgate. Period.

The wheelbase is an inch different between the longbed '65.5 - '71 Swepties and the '72-'93 single-cab longbed Dodges. Plus, many have swapped both the 4BT and 6BT Cummins, as well as the Perkins 354.6T Diesels into these on the stock suspension and frame. The 4BT is a perfect swap on the 1/2-ton Swepties.
