Rare car, I always loved the interior of these. One morning I was grabbing a cup of joe before work and 2 Mayo doctors pulled into the gas station across from St. Marys hospital in Rochester MN for fuel. One in a 69 green VIP 440 and another in a 68 or 69 Impala SS 427 4 speed triple black. Vip was a console air car F8 up and down but perfect. Saw the SS in Hot Rod.

Very Important Person luxury edition - it was the top of the line Plymouth C body in 1969 and consisted of a special grille from the Sport Fury and special interior block pattern cloth seats with center arm rest (bucket seats optional I believe) and unique door panels. Really just a trim upgrade. Came in 4 door styles too.

The VIP was available from 1966 to 1969 and competed with the Chevy Caprice and Ford LTD.
We had one in the garage for a few weeks back in the day that needed some engine work (among other things). My brother and I would sit in the car and listen to an 8-track of McCartney's "Silly Love Songs"; I think it was the only 8-track we had.

I like the Keystones.
