1970 Fury, color of rear shocks and leaf springs

While I am not in possession of hard evidence, from my research in restoring mine (66s), I believe that assembly line shocks were semi-gloss black, the springs were natural dark spring steel, their hardware (pack clamps) were natural sheet metal, the pack centre bolt was bright zinc plated, the U bolts and nuts were black phosphate, and the shackes were cad plated.

Very close to above for '68. Only difference the pack center bolt was a duller grey or black oxide on my '68. Everything else was as above.

not the best shot but the only one I could find. I have never been able to find the original bolt clamps that goes through the springs (located where the current strap clamp is).

Shocks may vary depending on what was available to the assembly plant.
What was supplied to Belvidere plant may not be the same color as Windsor plant ,so to speak.
I had seen gold, white, reddish, and black shocks on original cars.
