Time for you to improve your reading skills
It's time you stop and think before posting nasty messages, being a dick just because you disagree with someone is not cool.

Nothing nasty, I haven't been a dick, yet .... Again, your reading comprehension is lacking. Move on......

Keep having a dig mate, everyone can see what's what. You're a waste of time.

I must've gotten into a proxy site or something. I could've sworn I went to FCBO, but somehow it turned into Moparts.

The beautiful "Pancake make-up" Imperial, which split the C-body-population in two camps, and sparked several international crises, is now at 10k

I am on the love side side in the love/hate thing we have with this car. :)

Questions...above, trunk pan replaced? funny lines and a lotta primer looking colors. orange stains on undersat of trunk mat? car can still be "rust free" albiet via "rust repair" .. though ya never quite get it all sometimes.

below in square: floor patched or just old undercoat peeled off? and arrow shows example of obvious touchups everywhere that make ya wonder why necessary?

all that aside ..i'd still buy it and drive it proudly as is . though its getting into the territory (mid teens) where i'd surrender to others who want it more than I do.

The trunk floor does look curious.

But I was also wondering why so many of these 440s have puny size mufflers to capture all that noise of a 440 in a single exhaust? Aren't the much larger ones available anymore at muffler shops, or do you have to find a big muffler somewhere else and take it with you to the muffler shop to get one that actually quiets the car like the factory one did? I realize the factory ones also had a resonator at the outlet as well. I would bet this one doesn't have one of those either. Being an Imperial, this cheap setup would annoy me.

I havent replaced a 440 stock mufller in a few years, but recall I used a Walker part that did the trick. I dont recall having a C original enough to still have resonators. My '67 CC's original exhaust was long gone by the time I got it. Same for my formals.

For my Lincoln Mark collection (the 1976 designer Marks), I did find a guy on ebay 10+ years ago with a stash of 20 of the Original Ford parts .. paid $750 bucks and thought it was a bargain. :)

The set up on this '70 look like they might rumble a bit .. but maybe not. Wouldnt be a showstopper for me either way.

The trunk floor does look curious.

In run-on ad text: "In addition it had (very hard to find) an OEM lower quarter panel installed on rear passenger side due to a dented up behind the rear wheel lower area (not rust)."

Not sure about this OEM lower, thought that would be aftermarket unless someone cheated.

something else about the undercoating as 'seller says it was the old mans fault'.

(edit) yep here it is "the old man decided to undercoat the entire underside then as well.but rest assured she is solid!"

.

And you're asking why all good cars goes to europe ? the undercoast is not in good shape.. seariously ?!!
This is not buying old cars..

Every picture I have seen of the undercarriage has left a positive impression, but of course, ALL of Denmark is within, what many Americans refer to as "The rust belt", so I am used to see crazy rust.

As mentioned, this car is located 70 miles south of where mine lived all it's life.. Minnesota must be car hell, as many of my parts are heavily corroded, and will need restoration eventually. My 69 has also had a helping hand undercoating-wise.

My trunk floor has a bit more "body color paint" than the '70, but not nearly as much, as I have seen on other Mopars, and probably never saw any as "naked" at the e-bay-70

The Minnesota rust-monster has had a field day, with most of my brake parts, and BTW... I dont think I EVER saw, a spark plug that rusty.. :-D

I am looking forward to fixing up the brakes with new calipers and wheel cylinders.. during which process, I will have the the backing plates powder coated, or at least, cleaned and painted.. What was the original treatment for these?
