1972 Polara 4 door sedan

I have a few more details such as lug studs and axle seals to attend too. I should have all the parts I need by Tuesday. After some breaking in and an oil change, hopefully I’ll be able to post some pics of a two wheel smokey burnout! If not, I’m going to be rather disappointed. Stay tuned!

I think I might have dislocated something, but I got her in there!

Looking good, keep the pics coming...or in the event of a burnout, a video!

Got it all together and took it for a test drive. Seems to be right. Im holding off on burnouts and such until it’s broken in. I sure like looking under there and seeing it though!

While I’m driving around breaking this thing in,I’ll take a few pictures and post them during the cool down time.

Cooling down in the shade. Looking forward to some tire shredding, lifter floating fun after this break in is over!

Well, I’m calling it broke in!
I’m in the process of making a video right now and I’ll put it on my YouTube channel when it’s done. I’ll also put a link to it in this thread so that the 3 or 4 of my faithful followers here can witness the fun!
Warning: my YouTube channel is family friendly and all that. But most videos are pretty disjointed, make no sense and are just plain awful. You know, kinda like this thread! So if you venture around on my channel you’ve been warned.
That being said, I’m attempting to make the Polara video more...sensible....I guess is the word I’m looking for. Anyway, stand by for the big broadcast!! Lol

Yes, by the look of that, you've got it sorted. Well done, take care and have fun.
Thank you! Now I’ve got to evict the mice and other woodland creatures out of it! At least now the birds can have pride knowing that the car they’re pooping on is equipped with Sure Grip!

Well, as some may know I’ve decided that the time has come for my Polara and I to part ways. I’ve struck a deal with a member here and am on the road delivering the car. As I write I am taking a break to stretch in Delaware OH on my way to Detroit from KY.
One last ride together

Sad this story is coming to an end, for now. The new owner I'm sure will keep us up to date.

What's the plan now?

Reminds me of some of the scenes in Walking Tall with the '72 Polaras..... identical looking countryside.
That movie is what got me started many years ago! I wanted to have one of those cars and drive it like they did just once. Mission accomplished.
